Please forgive me because I apparently have 1990 on the brain as I am in the process of (slowly) restoring a 1990 Cadillac that I inherited.

You are right that the famous Mercedes C9 in fact won LeMans in 1989. I hope that you are able to create this version:



As you noted, the nose opening is different and the vents in the top of the fenders have been covered over.

If it is not possible, I would be enthusiastic about this version as well (even though the team withdrew from the 1988 LeMans event, it is an interesting livery).

Mercedes 1990

Hi Mg Brown,
I knew about the 1989 (1st-2nd in LeMans) version which has the different 'mouth', which we will make, but I did not know about the 1990 version.

AFAIK Mercedes did not race in 1990, then went back to LeMans in 1991 with the C11

More information will be appreciated!

Cars in the background are also from Cartrix, they showed the Mercedes last year as well, hopefully they will relese these soon.

A few more Team Slot photo's are up in Gallery.

No diecast are featured, the Le Mans Miniatures cars are resin, come either kit, kit with painted body or assembled. We will be reviewing on of the cars soon. Gorp you up to building it, could make good review.

Is it just me or have the slot car gods finaly smiled on us and decided to provide us with a RTR Cheetah!!! And one to compete with the MRRC Cobra's with the little red motor to boot! This seems to good to be true, someone pinch me!

Also who or what is a "Team Slot" it looks like they are doing two of my favorite cars the Lancia Stratos and the Saleen S7, but are they any good??? They picked the perfect livery for the Lancia and I have been wishing and hoping FLY would do a Saleen a street version preferably in the hot orange (like the Hot Wheels 1:18 diecast) color, and here it is done by Team Slot!! If these cars work as good as they look, I am in deep trouble!!!!

Also there are a couple cool looking Cartix cars, anyone know much about Cartix? Junk?? There is a white and a black car pictured that I can't identify, looks like possibly an Acura NSX ? Can anyone help ID these cars?

Come on Guy's lets be fair to MRRC. They are a small company and have had the same delay problems bigger companies had in moving production to China.

Their first new release is the Porsche 935, which should be in the shops by fall of this year.
The Cheetah and Chaparral are listed in their Catalog as new for 2004 I hope they can product for this year, but I personally thank them for even trying against the bigger companies.
The Cheetah is listed as a special in a Limited Edition box MC-0015.
The Chaparral 2F is also a Limited Edition and comes like their earlier Cobra Special with the owner/driver ( in this case Jim Hall ) in the box.
There will also be a special edition Porsche 935 MC-0014 "Martini" with figures of Jochen Mass and Jacky Ickx and MC-0017 Porsche 935 "JMS" as a standard edition.

There are other new releases from MRRC new Cobra and Toyota decorations, but I have to get back to posting photo's now.

Nurnburg Toy Fair

Since it has been a problem getting online access at the hotel, and we are having problems with accessing email from the on-site online connection, getting photos and reports online will not be as frequent as it was last week in London.

We want to spend as much time as possible during the show taking pictures and gathering info during show hours, and will catch up on posting to the forum and answering emails as time permits.

Full reports on what was on display may have to wait until after the show, once back home - but we will make every effort to post photos on the Photo Gallery, and news and info here on the SCI bulletin board whenever possible.

Keep an eye on the Photo Gallery, as we will be adding photos. When batches of new pics are posted, we will be sure to post here as well to let everyone know!

There is a LOT of new and exciting products on display for us model car racing enthusiasts, and we want to gather all the pictures and info possible in the limited amount of time. This is going to be a great year for model car racing!

Early Report from Nurnberg Toy Fair

We are busy uploading photos like crazy, while getting them sorted into folders on the photo gallery.

When time allows, we will also be adding text captions and more info here. Online access has been a bit tricky, so it's best that we keep busy getting photos and gathering info while here, and catch up on posting info while burning the midnight oil, with help back from back home online.

Meanwhile - some early reports...

Ninco has street & race versions of a new Porsche 934.

MRRC has a new Porsche 935 coming out. Photo's are now posted in the Gallery
Fly has a cool new catalog - that comes on a CD!

Slot.It has a new Sauber Mercedes GTP, and a Nissan 390.
