The signals are that pre-orders in Euroland might exceed supply. Its going to be close. I don't believe this car will interest the USA even though in its heyday it outhandled its cousin the Ford Mustang!

I think you should stop trying to tell the North Americans what they do and do not like. The Cortina is one of my all time favourite cars, and I will definitely be buying them in 1/32 scale.
I like the model for sentimental reasons because it reminds me of my first slot car (Airfix version). Still got the original Vauxhall. Ain't got the Ford although I did make a kit version recently produced from the original Airfix molds.
If folk aren't interested in these then there is always the Revell Monogram Mustang due in December.
Revell Monogram can't really lose with either release can they?
A crapload of people owned-owned/raced these cars
in North America
I owned the next generation(1970) of this car(2 door0
My wife(1972) cortina(2 door)
My friend owned one (1966) 2 door of these for many years, till it was distroyed in an accident
So i think that Mr Moped statement is wrong
I beleve that this will be a VERY BIG seller over here as well!!!!!!!!!
Sorry Moped I don't believe for a second that there be a shortage of these cars. They won't sell that well here. Fewer people know what a Cortina is than a Porsche 550 and it seems as though there are plenty 550's to be had here in the US market.
The same "these will sell out quickly" phrase was thrown around by many about the MC12, they are awash in many outlets on the internet and in hobby shops that I've seen from New York to Tennessee.
