  • I'll show you mine if you show me yours ....

As we used to say when I was a nipper ....

But I digress .... Being only a couple of weeks into this hobby, I expect to be totally outgunned in class, quantity and quality, but this is my current collection of cars, the missus has already decided the black Stingray is hers (we will see about that, ooops yes dear!)
Lets see your's or at least your favourite few if you have too many to show !

    Welcome aboard, Savage.

Judging from your two 911 GT3-R's, I'll guess that you've started out with the Scalextric Le Mans 24 set? Great choice.

While I don't have a favourite car, I think this Fly 917/10 is pretty cool:

More can be found at my lame site: www.lugnutsracing.com

    Have fun,

    Johnny

      Just a few

I've decided that focussing on my favorite brand of car is a better use of my limited funds in this hobby. Porsche's fit the bill for me.

And since it looks like I've traded one of the pictured cars, and done a ton of work on the 959 pictured, I really need to update the "family photo"

Too many Porsches!! (Very cool, actually.)

Can you guess what my favorite brand is:

(...and I have added about 25 more Corvettes since then.)

Close ! I started out with the GT interactive set:

which I found for nearly half RRP on e-bay... brand new and sealed

DaveKennedy, Who makes the 959 ? Always liked these and wouldn't mind getting one.
Also on my "want" list, Countach 5000s, Lancia Stratos, Lancia Delta Integrale, DeTomaso Pantera (not sure anyone makes those) Lotus Cortina Mk1, Ford Escort Mk1, Ford Capri Mk1, GT40 (old and new) and many more ! There is a large model and toy fair in Birmingham UK Nov or Dec ... hope to pick up some more there !

Now there is a decent want list. Countach can be had from AutoArt, Stratos, and Integrale can be had from TeamSlot, though their stuff is dicey at best, not sure there is a Pantera available anywhere, Cortina can be had any minute now from Revell/Monogram, as well as old Airfix ones and MRRC Airfix clones, Capri Mk1 race car can be had from TeamSlot (I reallllly want this one) plus there are resin body kits of various road and race cars from OCAR, and the GT40 is of course available from both FLY and Scalextric. For the TeamSlot and OCAR stuff, you'll likely have to buy from Europe, but perhaps somebody somewhere has them over here...

1948 Maserati A6GCS, terror of the track in vintage open wheel classes.
Now where have those wheel inserts gone?

Dubro vac body, Monogram 36D motor, modified Monogram brass frame with various bolt-on brass bracketry. Rough, slightly crooked, but very fast and smooth:

Fujimi makes the 959. You can get them on Ebay usually. And cheap too, I think I paid $8.00 for it, maybe less.

RTR's don't figure prominantly in my faves list...

                              Hey Carreradude,

I see the Starsky and Hutchmobile peeking out of the corner there. One of my guilty pleasures as well. Great looking track.
