Congratulations! You could paint it pea green, and you'll still love this car (okay, i'm only joking)... I have four of these ( I had 5, and sold one), and I don't regret buying them — I do regret selling one of them. I wasn't brave like you — I bought the RTR versions. These go well on plastic tracks, but last month, I brought my yellow "road car" version to a event at club members wood routed track, and the car ran so much better.

Keep in mind that this car is much heavier than a FLY Classic — it's not a speed demon, but runs really nice and smooth. It also needs a little bit longer brake zone on long straights — due the weight. I have yet to try it without the magnet.

Anyhow, enjoy it — they are truly addictive. I am looking forward to the Scalextric version coming this fall, but the Racer version is really something special. Regards!

Hey DE; Thanks for the post! Man you got yourself a beautiful kit there. I almost got mtalley's Racer, but we just couldn't quite close the deal. Anyway I have seen these cars done in WHITE and they look quite nice too. I have to admit that I never new that any of these 330's ran as "road cars, so in terms of paint colors, you got me. Although as the saying goes if it ain't RED, it ain't really a Ferrari! Right? Anyway good luck with the kit, and keep us posted on your progress.

            How about

A deep red instead of an Italian national Red?

You got yours already?Hey,I paid before you. That ain't fair.Guess mine has a bit more to go.I tried to steal one of the 250's,but my computer screwed up.By the time I got changed, the 412 was left. That's the one I wanted most. The one you got did put that gleam in my eye though. But I didn't bid on it.Good luck with it.

                One Building Tip!

                DE38 —

One thing you may want to consider doing. Even if you decide to run the car liesurely, or as an all out racer... The little metal window slide provided — on the RTR cars, they are glued to the outside of the windows. These are super delicate to the touch, (ie: putting a de-slotted car back into it's slot, and accidently rubbing against it) you may want to consider gluing these to the inside of the windows. On the first one I bought (the Eucurie Francochamp car), both window slides came off within the first month.

Anyhow, again — you've got one special car... I want pick up one of those new 250LM by the end of the year. Regards!

PS: I could post some pictures of my red & yellow road cars I have to help you decide, if you'd like?

                    window slide slip

that metal window slide (inside or out) will not slide if you give it a coat of future. in fact if you don't do the whole car in future at least do the glass.

Ya 1950, you are still "The Ferrari Guy" for now...:evil It's gonna be close if Old Peter North and I keep buying Ferrari's at the furious pace that we have been!:lol

I still love these photos that you have posted here. Something about the rich warm lighting that you have used, has turned the red colour of these cars into something truly magical! Hey keep the pics coming, I for one just love them.

If you or anyone else out there, happen to see this thread, please drop in and lend a hand if you can. Once the list is com, plete I planto post it here on SCI somewhere.

Yes the Ferrari Guy needs to update his stock
Not a 512 BB to be seen?????
But what a collection he does have(drool)
Got mine(yellow buerlys) the other day, told Gordo he should get one(that he would not regret it)
Only thing is to trim the guide if you own "Classic track"
Other than that she,s a beauty to run
