Maybe with current 3D technology this is now possible...

Try this search on eBay: "Gunze mustang cobra II"

    It's a 1/24 kit though.

Actually by the standards of the day it wasn't such a bad car. It actually sold really well. It was just a shame that the only two engine choices put it at a disadvantage as far as Mustang lovers were concerned. The 2.8 V6 was a great engine, the same engine used in the European Capri at the time, but the Capri was almost 1000 lbs lighter than the Mustang so it performed so much better...and the 302 was so smog choked it was useless. A modern 302 intake and 4 BBL carb, and a set of headers turns them into a "horse of a different color!"

Thanks guys, But none of these cars are Mustang II's! There are 65-66 Monogram Mustangs, 67-68 Mustang model kits as well as the Pioneer 67-68's, The Scalextric 69 and 70 Boss Mustangs, and (The ones shown) 79-later "Fox body" Mustangs in notchback and the Trans Am/IMSA Mustang, but none, zero, zip in the way of 1/32 1974-1978 Mustang II's, or for that matter, 1971-1973 Mustangs.

After my research didn't turn up any static models, or even resin casts, I looked into maybe finding a diecast. Weird, in that the 1974 Mustang II was one of the top 3 selling Mustangs!

There is the Monogram 1027 Mustang coupe kit in 1/32 and Revell made a snap kit of the trans am car but it is tiny. The Monogram Mustang is on the left of the top photo. The bottom photo is the Revell kit, I sold the complete Revell car to a local racer, but I have a new in the box Monogram kit.

I've seen the Palmer 1/25 scale versions, but never a 1/32! I'd love to find one, as I just placed an order for some new RTV casting silicon....

Does anyone make a 1/32 scale Mustang II?

After seeing all the Dekon Monzas, the Greenwood Corvettes, the endless Porsches, and now the IMSA Capri....the only thing missing from the paddock is Charlie Kemp's Mustang II Cobra! Does anyone know a 1/32 scale static model kit, or a resin kit of either the stock Mustang II or the Kemp Cobra II? It would be a definite addition the Ford collection!
Working...
