I just purchased this car and tried it out on a friends routed 1/32 track. It runs pretty good right out of the box. We're thinking of getting some more to use as an IROC set. These cars look great and are very reasonably priced. Does anyone make silicone tires for these? Has anyone tried running these without the traction magnet?

Hi! I don't have that car but I have lots of other Go cars & I run them all without magnets original tires and yes with the original guide pins (file down each sides to make it thinner a bit) but I run the voltage between 9v to 11.25v depends on the car
Like any scale the amount of weights used is different for each car some like to run heavy some don't
One thing not to forget 1/43 cars will always run better on a 1/32 track as the curves radius are wider same for a 1/32 cars on an 1/24 scale track (Carrera)
As for tires ranch-design as come back (I think that is the name?) Some more people will know more than I do like Lloyd.L or pfuetze
BTW: lots more 1/43 slot cars sites out there and more active then this one will send you PM
Forget to add make sure to have a clean track (dust out) and clean tires it makes a big difference when running without magnets

Before you settle on Go!, I’d suggest trying an SCX Compact car.
While the car selection isn’t as great, the SCX cars feature a guide as opposed to Go!’s pin. The guide does require a bit of tweaking, though (remove a ring of plastic around the stem and lessen pickup strip tension).
I’m not a silicone user, so a Google search would be your best bet. While the selection is limited, Jel Claws makes tires for both brands. Not silicone, not urethane, their own material.

i do not know any silicone tires for Go!cars, sorry.
Like WickerBill wrote, try SCX compact cars, i like them way better as they come with a rotating guide instead of the pin guide.
the Go!cars run good without magnets, but i always add a rotating guide to them. I ´m using urethane tires and no weight inside on my wood track.
