Those came out really well! I have not tried the Pattos vinyl yet; going to have to see it up close........

Vinyl? Do you mean peel and stick? I bought the peel and stick decals to put on some cars with Lexan bodies and those were OK, but for cars with hard bodies I prefer waterslide decals.

For most cars I race, I prefer the vinyl since it is more durable than the waterslide decals. And yes, I do put multiple coats of clearcoat on my cars with waterslide decals.

Indeed they are peel and stick. But they are not die cut. They must be trimmed with an X-Acto knife or scissors. I concur that water slides are more aesthetically pleasing. However vinyl wins the day for me as I race everything that I build and vinyl is so much more durable.

I really like those shiny rims.
DO you buy the chrome shiny rims or do you paint
              them like that?

The JAG hobbies NC-2 chassis may be ordered with the chrome, black, white or grey rims. All are $22.50 each and come with a standard AFX body mount. Jim also has body mounting clips available to adapt his chassis to HC/Life Like, Both Tyco chassis and lowered AFX mounts in .05, 1.0 and 1.5mm increments. Check out his web site if you haven’t done so already.

                  Mark,

Here are a few close ups that you requested. Be aware that a large majority of Pattos decals now are “wraps” and may not fit the body that you’re using. However if you request Bruce to delete the primary background color the fit will be much more forgiving. Some trimming may be required. In the case of the Piedmont set I had Bruce delete the white background.
                  I hope this helps.

Pattos decals are sized to fit a 1/64th scale diecast body. The bodies on HO slot cars may not be the same size, Patto can make his decals any size. When I order decals to fit a HOST NASCAR body I now ask for 1/72nd scale. The problem there is that the bodies are shorter and wider than 1/64th scale, so there can be a problem with the fit on the nose and tail. I used 1/64th decals on this HOST body and I had to cut them up and piece them back together as best as I could. Later when I got 1/72nd decals and those were a good fit on the sides of the car but were too narrow, especially in the back.

Thanks for posting the closeups. So, you wrapped the entire body; was the original color still underneath, or did you have to prep the body in some way (like spray a white primer coat first).....
