at least its got the windshield! I've seen several at the bay with that part missing.
My 962 is the BfGoodrich/Bosch design, with a hp-7 chassis. It was a shelf queen when i bought it, was listed as MINT, and had no wear on the shoes when i got it. I've since grown fond of actually running it.
Gratz on the purchase!
Don't feel bad about the price, just don't buy a latte that week. I priced a new car from the LHS before I started buying from the bay. I rarely go over that benchmark, but for something i really, really want, anything goes. Within reason.
Nice ride! Trying to get a couple in that style for a buddy thats helped me out a lot since I got really sick...can't afford that much, but that one looks supreme!
In my opinion the tyco Porsche 956 is the better choice over the tomy model. The lines and wheel base are more correct looking. I have 2 of those my self, one I modified to resemble the 962 (tall tail) and the other one I left it as the 956 (longer low tail). Both cars run great and with some of the modifications I did to the body, they run cooler as they seem to have air flow you can really feel them moving air as they speed past. I also added material to the bottom of the front of the car to bring it down to the track gives it a nice looking stance. I have allways liked these Porsche race cars. Hey as long as you feel that your okay with the price which is decent by the way you got your self a nice looking car.
Nice! You don't see that version that often. I've got one of the original Tyco Miller livery 962's. They defintely outshine the Tomy's. It would look better with some G3 wheels on it though.
Here is a pic of my 962. It's my resin body that fits a 440x2 pan chassis. I'll be re-modeling this to fit the Mega-G also. AS SOON as I get my hobby workspace together.....arrggghhhhh.
