I can FINALLY add something new to a thread I created years ago, and has had a lot of contributors to: my pair of BHR Lexan Lola T-70's:

Both Lolas (and the Ferrari 612 in the far right picture) are mounted on "Bulldog" chassis; the Papya Orange McLaren is on a BSRT chassis........

Since we lost a lot of photos when SCI crashed, I'd thought I would repost these. Originally this was an AFX McLaren M8b that I stretched out and made a resin body of it. This is sitting on a Tyco Pan chassis with the LWB configuration. I may have to bring this back if it fits the newest 1.7" chassis.
Look close and you'll see a face inside the helmet!!!

The Sunoco I corrected the roundels/numbers and side Porsche/Audi with decals I bought decades ago. The rest are the factory decals/stickers.
The RC was a complete repaint and I used Indycals decal set. Same with the L&M. I used a lot of MicroSol setting solution to get the decals to form into the vents. They came out really nice.

I am trying to limit how many chassis type I have and therefore reduce spare part inventories. I love Viper chassis - they just flat out work. Fast, smooth and consistent.

Bonez, outstanding stuff, as always! Interesting you have made a decision to use the Viper (Super G+ style) chassis for all of them; some can certainly sit lower on a Mega G 1.5.........
That being said, all are no doubt quick, and as we all need to meet our own requirements, they are outstanding......

As you can see, the bodies sat low; only one of the three I converted needed a bit of sanding underneath, and on the Mega G 1.5 (with suitable rear tires and front end) are very quick.
As for whom they would have competed against, this car first appeared in 1970; so, Porsche 917K, Ferrari 512S, Lola T70 Coupe (in the "Sports" category) and various "specials" with the 3-liter Cosworth DFV stuffed into previously under 2-liter chassis (Lola would be one).
1971-72, then the Matra , Alfa Romeo 3-liter Prototypes ( these have been made in cast-resin or Lexan) would have been the main protagonists, with the Cosworth powered Lola t-280 (Bonnier team) prominent in 1972.......
AFX made so many cool Can-Am (Interserie?) bodies. I need a flow chart to keep up with all them.

I also use a metal clip that I glue to all my bodies that allow me to slam the height and set the stance. It also prevents cracking these old bodies since the plastic gets brittle with age. This method does not require splaying out the body to fit the factory side mounts.
