Trackmate 961 ERROR 8021

Has anyone had this code? What is the fix?

"Error 8021 (Internal error retrieving device control for the port) in procedure 1 protocol_GetData of Class Module cisProtocol3"

Maybe try and reinstall the driver? For the usb version that is. In the help menu you can install driver. Might try in there.

I have never seen that problem. Re-installing the driver would be worth a try. You could contact Trackmate directly, Daniel may be a little slow to respond.
Was the hardware powered up before you started the program?

From another forum: After going deeper into the problem of communication getting lost, found the intermitence belongs to my USB-RS232 converter module. Mainly because it is working controling external hardware it gets exposed to electrical noise causing a disruption to the USB-RS232 module. It gets resolved by unplugging it and putting it back, or by turning off the whole system. Make sure your software issue is not a hardare problem.

Are you running the card through a USB hub or USB to RS-232 converter? I have solved electrical noise interference issues by placing a ferrite bead on the USB line.
