This is a build of a 1/24 AMT Lola T70 kit from 1966. It was missing a few bits, so some needed to be made, or found in the parts bin.
While it is a fantasy livery, the inspiration for the colour came from a customer McLaren M12 that ran in selected CanAm races in 1970/71, and was sponsored by the "Great Western Champagne" company.......the paint used on the model is Tamiyas' "Champagne" gold.

The wheels are not original..... they are Russkit's Lola wheels, and are 1 piece cast aluminium.....they are gorgeous!!!
