Hi guys,

So after the success of the last race, I'd like to know if my fellow BFOSonians would prefer a shared tournament for the next round with constructor points, or stick with the three race IROC format? What cars would you guys like to run at the next round?

Hey Van,

I know you were talking about the fact you has designed a faux Le Mans.... so how about a Le Mans 98' race? Lots of slots from that race, lots of fast cars actually. Ninco BWM LM, Slot-it Nissan R390, Fly Porsche Evo ect..

Lemans slotit etc. sounds good as per Brad's suggestion. This could be run with constructor points - or not. Another suggestion, what about a GPR gt shakedown, sometime prior to November. This could be for the next BFOS, maybe too soon for 2k6.8?

Tournament formula too tough to call ..... shared or IROC are both excellent!

Ok...BFOS 2k6.8...Brad, you make a compelling case for LeMans cars. We all have a few set up already. I only have sufficient plastic for a 2 lane version of Le Mans. The space to build it in is a whole other issue! I'm leaning towards four lanes just to keep all the drivers busy. A shared tournament would take an afternoon much like the JGTC race did. Maybe we should switch the races to a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, instead of the evening? In a 5 hour shared tournament on a four lane circuit, each driver would have 24 x 3 minute heats with 6 cars and 8 drivers competing. If more cars show up, we can have qualifying to narrow the grid down a bit. We have to do JGTC racing again some time! Maybe that's a good category to get rolling at Raceworld in the fall?

I'd be interested to skew the rest of the BFOS events in favour of GPR machinery just to get the track time with our proxy cars. This will be a good testing opportunity for the cars before they get sent off. I have some cars with GPR potential demagged already.

Sounds like a great idea Van.... I was even thinking of sugesting a 'World GT' class - JGTC cars, FIA GT cars, ALMS GT cars ect.... I think that it would be an amazing series with TONES of good cars to choose from...... but that a whole othe topic.

As far as BFOS is concerned, your choices haven't let me down yet so what ever the good Dr. decides on I'll be there with my lead-trigger-happy-finger.
