it might be easier to leave less open for interpretation if we spec a wheel size instead of spec'ing
"stock wheel size"
What's a mm or so between friends?

why not say 15x8's with 140X tires?

On the Can Am I would say that axle blocks or any type of adjustable frontend not be allowed.
Also stock motor...

John, if you're talking about the Carrera cars, I think Mclarens have HUGE rear tires but only fit the stock plastic rims so if you want to go aluminum you have to downsize.

I was referring the the sideways group 5 rule:
2) Stock size wheels
I think this can mean many things to different people.
I'd like to see a spec wheel size to make it more clear and also to avoid 15x12's sticking outside the body work like H.O. cars.

I haven't compared those NSR-5006 Air System Vanquish Wheels (Scale 16") 13mm wide aluminum wheels with what's on my Mclaren but I bet they're close.

If you're gonna allow a bnova adapter, why not allow any guide adapter?

Imo, though, I think the stock setup should be used... Anything that requires cutting, hacking, is out of the spirit of what this class is about, right?...

I'll second that. Keep the guide and keep the front axle the car came with.

I believe some of these cars come with two stub axles.
I would preffer to run a standard axle. It doesnt require cutting to fit an axle.

That seems fine. But, if a standard one piece axle will fit why does the car come with a two stub axle? :suspiciou

Ditto. As for the Group5 , I'm kinda on the fence about 15x8s on the rear - maybe whatever 15 you can get to fit ?

The M20 will take some hacking to fit a straight axle. The 917 takes a small bit of trimming to the rear of the guide assembly...

17x8s come with the Sideways Group 5... Maybe a 17x10 hubless might fit.

If we use stock wheels those are 17x8! Tall and narrow = :frusty:

I would like the any 15X you can get to fit also.
