Rules attachment will open with XP, not Windows 7.

                Hi Mike,
Regarding edit I took out your attachment code, as it appeared to be causing an issue. Still cannot upload your Rules via Windows 7 but can open with XP so no big deal.

Looks like it will be another fun Event.

One question, what is the ruling on Rear Wings being attached, I do not see mention to having to have the rear wing or re-fit them if knocked off in a crash. Only saw something about no tape on the outside of the body or wing, but what happens if a wing is lost in a crash?

Alan, I'm using Windows 7 and the Word.doc is opening fine for me. Folks who don't have Word could probably use Open Office, I'm guessing. :typing:

Alan we run it just like a real race if the wing comes off during the race teams keep on racing. So you have to have one at the start of the race but after that you no longer need them.

We must watch different series, I thought they always came into the pits for repairs?

                      To each their own:nod:

                        Mike,

Are rear axle bushings allowed to be glued into the motor pod or chassis?

Also, if you guys don't mind sharing, what has been the popular light kit of choice in the past? We don't have any experience with light kits.

Yes Mark you can glue in the bushings. As for the light kits I will be getting in some more from SCC as soon as they have them made up. I can let you know when I have them in stock. You can also use the Slot it light kit or the DS light kit it is battery operated. You are not required to have your lights on until we go dark so the battery will last. The battery should last the whole race from what I have seen, we also have extra battery's in stock. The one thing you must have is some kind of a capacitor that will keep the lights on when you deslot so that marshals and other drivers can see your car. We want you to be prepared for the race when you get here so any information I can give you please feel free to ask.
                          Mike

                            Thanks!

If you could tell this information, it would be great:

                            1. Track voltage for the race.
                            2. Track surface.
                            3. Longest straight length and avg lane length.
                            4. Braid recess depth - top of track surface to top of braid contact.

I think this is it for now.

Mark track voltage is about 12.5 I run off an 8 cell DC battery. Track surface is a semi gloss paint. Longest straight is 16 plus feet. Braid depth is about .008 below the surface.
