It was great seeing everybody again, and meeting a few new people... Times were dropping throughout the evening... Lots of low 7's with a few high 6's sprinkled in from certain drivers...

Pray tell more.....that is fast! Love to know who and what car is setting those times...
All were in the low 7's... Saw Smokeio rip off some high 6's with the test car... I didn't catch any others specifically, I was just staring at the lap times randomly...
Yes, fast indeed. Not fun to get walked so easily. These guys can drive on another level!!! IIRC, my best was 7.2 and change...
Way to go SCC, who is Team Dumdum? how far back are Mark and the guys from Atlanta?
in 20 minutes you will be 1:6 through the race :)
Are there 5 Teams?
....there are 6 teams entered running on a 5 lane track, so there is a "sit-out". the 24 hour race will actually last 30 hours total. Talked to George/SouthernSloter yesterday and they were still looking for speed. SCC team had fast cars and were the team to beat. The Atlanta gang, the Dudes of Hazzard if you will, were down a couple tenths per lap which is huge in a 24 hour race.
In the defense of the Dudes of Hazzard, we don't run silicone tires,,,,,EVER, and this race is a silicone tire event. The SCC guys run silicones A LOT on their race series, on their home tracks.
This is all I know, I am looking for more info like everybody else.
5 drivers in each Team, do all have to drive equal time?
Who be about 4.8 hours for each driver, if you have enough workers that could be a fairly relaxed race schedule.
Especially with the sit out. Still a lot of work and a lot of people again well done to all especially Mike for getting that many to enter :)
