Made it to the hotel. Now to get rested up for a long day tomorrow of practice and setting up the cars.

I have been in contact with some of the teams and seems like a majority of them are in town now. Hopefully this year will be a BANNER year. Looking forward to getting underway. Stay tuned.

Practice and tuning is well under way. Already a few cars running under 7 seconds, with Smokeio running a 6.6.

For those who are unfamiliar with this circuit, what are the essentials?

Track length, braid, surface condition, and like that. Is 6.6 possible on a 155' King, even for Smokeio? I'm thinking not so much, without additives. :nono:

Also, and separately, I must inform the more intellectually inclined that the hat and glasses you see on Christian are not at all representative of our entire country. Mostly, we're entirely normal. :CanuckBanana:

The track has copper braid no magnetic effect we run no traction additives at all. Power is at 12.4 volts. The length of the track is :
Red lane 118.5 feet
White lane 120.4 Feet
Blue lane 122.35 feet
Yellow lane 124.25 feet
Black lane 126.23 feet

Heat 1 is coming to an end and it looks like the Hazzard Boys have a slight lead.

Big track so Red verse black lane totals differ.

I have been attacked by the 24 hour stomach bug Friday night, so I have missed the start and night time sessions. I did make it back in time to be able to race in the last 2 rotations.
I understand other teams have offered to help out the Hazzard boys with marshaling duties in my absence. To me, that is true sportsmanship, and I sincerely appreciate that.
Last I checked, the Hazzard boys have a slim lead over Slot Car Corner, followed closely by the Cloverleaf team.

Let me assure you, a 6.6 second lap was run on this track with no additives and no wood magnets. I credit the go fast stuff to the specialty parts from Slot Car Corner, the help and support from Clover Leaf Racing, and the outstanding tire performance in Quick Slicks. Mark from Atlanta also ran a 6.70 in practice and we ran 6.7s during the race.

Yeah, that's excellent performance; with an average lap length of just over 122' they're zipping around at over 18' per second, which is outstanding!

Will be great if you can provide some motor and gearing specs also. :thumb:
