  • Canadian Slot it Super Series

    Hi Guys,

Here is the New Rule Set:

    - Any Slot it car allowed
    - Any Racer Sideways DP allowed

    - Any Stock Slot it parts (No F1 Rims/Tires)
    - Any Slot it motor
    - Any Slot it tires (No F1 Tires)
    - No HRS Chassis

    - Any manufacturer Axles
    - Any manufacturer axle shims

    - No Body modifications, (minor ones for clearance are ok and subject to the Tech Directors final say. If you are unsure, ASK Franco)
    - No Slot it F1 Rims or Tires - This is because we still want the cars to look right. If we allow them, everyones rear tires will look Stupid.

    - Lead weight must be above the chassis.
    - Wheels/tires must NOT be visible from above.
    - Front tires must touch the track. (At least one side, this allows for bent chassis's)
    - Motors can NOT be tampered with. (motor shaft can be cut)
    - No Lexan interiors
    - Minimum ride height - So I can see daylight from under the chassis. As low as you want without any part of the car scraping on the track.

We are going to use the track controllers

10 Race Series with 2 Drops.

    Thanks,
    Ron

I was going to buy the Nissan but went for the F40 and the McLaren at your store and bought a Jag, Audi, 956 online see which one works out best, so far the stock Audi handles best before the repaints started without much track time or tuning

My F40 would have gone faster than my Nissan. The only reason I didn't race it was because I love the struts that are attached to the front splitter.

They would have been gone in the first or second lap.

                  Hi Slotbutton,

Unfortunately most of these guys won't travel that far.

Fun is the main priority here. So far, so good.

May all your laps be fast.

I like your rules, but just what does, "any Stock Slot-it parts" mean? Only what comes on the car or any part Slot-it sells?

Looks like all the Slot-It parts except F1 tyres and wheels or any Lexan interior. I would assume from the way it reads no HRS chassis either. The emphasis being on fun so I'm guessing keep it as simple as possible.

                        Hi Guys,

Any Slot it part. It can be any part they make, in any combo, on any car. With the above mentioned exceptions.

                        No HRS Chassis allowed.

The class will hopefully work because all the parts are on the wall. The latest and greatest 40,000RPM motor is great only if everyone can get one. Otherwise its useless.

So if you guys are every in the area, stop in on a Friday night for some unlimited Slot it racing.

                        Ron

                          Hi Guys,

After a bit of discussion, we have decided to NOT allow the HRS chassis. It is going to be to complicated for the average Slot car guy. If they truely are the best way around the track, it may cause some problems with the simplicity of the class and of course the fun factor.

So for now, no HRS chassis.

Dan, if you can bring one up sometime, I would love to do some testing with one.

                          Thanks guys.

I have about a 1/2 doz. HRS chassis but only one of them is in a car! Most modern chassis work well enough for me.
Your rules are very much like our Western NY Slot-it GrpC Challange rules so I should be able to entice some of our guys to come up some Friday (soon, I hope).
I see some names of racers from the SRO and Raceworld, so it should be like old home week. I'm looking forward to gettin' beat by the GTA's best again.

I think you made the right decision, it is easier to help new drivers tune existing components rather than have to share tips on how to tune a whole new chassis. Lets be honest the Slot-Its are very tune able and close as they are!!
Sure would like to make it out there some time
