does anyone know if Racewear is going to re open in another location. Between Phase II up and leaving ,now racewear being forced out,got nowhere to race the stuff I bought from both places. was just getting into the 32nd scale thing. put up a small track at home, not quite the same. Anyway , any info would be great. Thanks

Crazy bull, I dont know your area. Is there a Hobbytown near you that might have knowledge of the slot car scene, Maybe they have a track.
There couple of home racers out that way
      Try contacting Tlbrace2008
      see this link:

I think there is someone else from Glen Burie MD on one of these forums.

You could post on the new member thread and say looking for race tracks in your area.
I say new member thread because it will stay there awhile. If you post on the paddoc, it will get burried in previous post by people talking about F1 stuff.
Also I will pm you another idea

There's also a short list of Maryland tracks, here.

Probably worth phoning/checking websites to see which ones are in operation near you.

I was just by there in the mall last night. Someone tried unsuccessfully to peel the Ninco sticker off the front window. There were intentions to re-open the store in another location close by. The store will be much larger, and would have additional tracks. Can't relay details as of yet. One problem that must be solved is the store space needs to have a restroom built because this space is the leftover of a much larger store that had been partitioned, and the restroom(s) went with the partitioned space. All the mall store contents are in storage. The time frame to re-open was thought to be in spring 2019 considering all practicalities. I think that Hobbyworks in VA has a track. Never been at that store & seen the track. A new commercial raceway has opened in Hanover, PA called "Slots of Fun." I think it is the track from DT Hobbies when they were in the Hanover mall. They got booted out at a moment's notice as well and sold their track. This track has glue on it, and it was set up for the Parma/JK type slot cars with the thin bodies. You can run your BRM/Scale Auto cars on it but if you crash you will sustain much damage. It is 1+ hours driving from the old RaceWear location. Racewear's Ninco track is much better for the hard-body slot cars.

While I live in SoCal, I occasionally worked near the BWI airport, for extended periods of time. Often on "trapped" weekends, I'd head over to that mall where Racewear (was ..!).
Interesting that it's said that they were kicked out..!?
That mall had very little traffic, many closed stores. The most cars that I ever saw in the parking lot was on Saturday afternoons when a large car show/gathering was there..!
Seems that the mall owners would want to keep as many doors open as possible.

Hope that they reopen somewhere soon. Nice people that owned the place.

              Mike
