Race Wear Scalextric TransAm Race

There will be a Scalextric Vintage TransAm regional race held at Race Wear in Maryland on Saturday, August 16, 2014. Track opens at 10am, tech inspection at 2pm, racing to start at 3pm. Race segments will be between 7 and 10 minutes. Entry fee is $10.00

Wanted to know what track the trans am race is being run on and if hand out motors and tires are being used I plan on being there

I spoke with Ricky and he said the race is being run on the Ninco track, and drivers will be using their own motors and tires. Motors will be subject to an RPM check.

Any other racers who plan to attend, please post here to help the host plan, thanks.

Spoke to Ricky today, race is still on as planned, and will be on the Ninco track. The store will hold practice from noon to close on Friday night 8/14/14 for $5.00. On that day, the track will be cleaned earlier that morning, and closed to the public, only the TransAm cars to be run in the regional race will be allowed on the track the rest of the day.

As a reminder, on race day, 8/15/14, the track will open 10am, tech inspection at 2pm, racing to start at 3pm. Race segments will be between 7 and 10 minutes. Entry fee is $10.00.
