Haven't been to Marley Station lately. Is Race Wear and its tracks still up and running?

Yes they are. I was just in the store yesterday. The track in the front of the store (Scaley?) still operates too.

Do they still have an active racing program?

I didn't think to ask about an active racing program. I would think if they did, some of the more local racers would know about it. The track and store area around them looked fairly dis-organized too (the back track (Ninco I think?) had stuff piled on it), so I would assume they don't right now.

Andy, I was in that area yesterday and while I did not go to Race Wear I did go to another commercial 1/32 track and was informed by the owner that Race Wear was out of business and there was paper on the windows. It is sad when any slot track or hobby shop fails but I must say that a part of the blame must go with the way this track was run. I attempted to support this track when they had the Trans Am qualifier over a year ago. The track was in sorry state and on the day of the qualifier only four others showed up and the track still had not been cleaned and made ready for racing. Although I spent about $100 there that day when I left I wrote them off as far as going back.

            open and in business

Race-Wear is still in business. We are not nor have been closed. We are starting our 10th year in this location. As far as A racing program, we did stop that for a while but will be starting up another one in November. I am not sure which race you were referring to but we have not held a Quailifier race in over 3 years. Our tracks are maintained and running. There are problems from time to time but are corrected in a timly manner. Most of the issues occur when someone leans on the track or uses something not allowed on the track. The track is cleaned prior to every race.

Ricky, the Trans Am Qualifier that I was talking about was supposed to have taken place on August 16 2014 with a practice day of August 15th. On the 15th I showed up along with three of the Capital Racing League members and the first hour was spent attempting to clean the track. There was no signage about any event that weekend and only a lady and a couple of fairly young children were there. After a couple of hours I left and went to The Other Track and then went to the motel for the night. The next day I returned to your track and still saw no signs or additional preparation for this Qualifier as advertised on this board in fact on the string below this one. The same three other people returned along with one of your former racers and the race was eventually cancelled.

Ricky, I wish you the best and hope you can get a racing program together and have a great time but the distance prevents me from coming.
