  • Great photo-journalism there, Alan - but we do have to sit you down and learnt you some NASCAR-speak

That's okay, by the time the Forums Cup is completed we'll have you talkin' as good as ol' Sterling Marlin at Mule Days...yup

    • Rather than deny credit for an entire race, bring the car back onto the track after it is fixed, qualify for best lap time, and miss only one heat as penalty. Missing the entire race at Midford Combe is too much. I think we can interpret the rule to say a car which needs this much repair misses only one heat or segment, not the whole race.
Seems eminently fair to me Robert. It will just set him back, a tad.

One very cut down Slot.it Pod, (My Kenwood Porsche was not happy about donating it's pod!), fixed into position by good old JB Weld, (the strongest stuff I know of).
Geez, one moment it's the Shoreline boys asking me to PM them some tuneup tips, now its BeeJay taking whole chapters out of the Wet Coast Engineering Manual.

Mondial O'Nuthin was seen to ignore a waved blue flag whilst being overtaken by Porsche driver Tony Kuljis.
Afterwards, however, Mondial pointed out that he was in fact on the same lap! And, latest reports indicate that BROG (Bath Race Official Guys) are now investigating reports of Team FW handing out complimentary bottles of malt to all of the corner workers ...

        This just keeps getting better!
Whatever it takes to win, right Tony?

Excellent GPR round from the UK.

        • Yes, but the corner worker had a very good laugh when Mondial O'Nuthin wet himself as he crashed.... The corner worker offered A sip of very rare single malt to Mondial O'Nuthin but he refused it due a personal injury..... More on this story as it unfolds

Aha, now we know where the "Wet" in Wet Toast Racing comes from!

Alan, fabulous job of reporting! Also, very glad to have you back in the race, it certainly wouldn't have been the same without you!

            • That's "Wet Goat" to you, Pete ...

It's all just a vicious rumour (typical of certain teams who can't even hold onto their inserts) ... turns out it was just his fire extinguisher.

Fer sure Mondial never refused a drop of malt in his life ...

Two of the cars had problems:-

Abie321's Ferrari lost a braid, just before the end of it's run, - now repaired.

Phil Kalbfell's Ferrari severed a guide lead at exactly the same point as his BMW did. Any ideas Phil? - will be repaired tomorrow.

Two cars really improved their performance tonight, WCR's Porsche and Bluetoes Porsche, both had great grip for some reason..........

Really enjoyed myself tonight, but there is a long way to go.....I hope they are all as close as this one....

                  Regards

                      • Wow! The Porsche 908/3 with sticky tires crept up behind the Ferrari 512S, and nosed it out for first place! Fly cars to the fore!

Just didn't have enough Ferrari juice in the can. Nino Vacarella driving, Nurburgring, 1970:
