Howdy all (thought I'd better pop in & say g'day),
Well, the shipping container arrived at 6 pines docks during the week. After 3 or 4 days in quarantine (you never know what funny little bugs could have been put in there by those funny tasweigians), I have finally unpacked.
& what a sight...40 hard edge racers are now sitting, waiting to spring to life & rip shreds off the Six Pines surface.
So, whats in store for the racers over the next 7 days. I'm sure that the drivers will head up to Cleland National Park to pat a Koala & ride a Kangaroo...probably followed by a trip to some cheap arse winery to down copious amounts of funny red grape juice...
While they are at it, the organisers will give the track a good vacuum ready for racing. (might even buy some of those swiffy thingies that the missus uses in the house (hardly) to help out those funny silly-coned tyred racers).
At the moment & when I get up the guts, I will probably give all the cars a rundown at some stage on the weekend, with a qualifying session most likely on Wednesday.
This will be followed by a Drag em out & knock em down race on Saturday evening.
As things move along, I will get some photo's & post them on the intardnet thingy so all of you can see them...

Finally, some track time
Howdy all,
Well, the cars have hit the track for a brief shake down session. I have times, but wont post until all cars have done their 10 laps.

Times - Practice 1
& the first times are in......
All Cars have now done 10 laps. For those that are marked as (what I have determined) non Silicone tyres, they have all done it on the preferred lane, "Blue" (Lane 3).
As I am venturing into the unknown when it comes to Silicones, those shod with said silicone tyres have done their laps on the next preferred lane, "Red" (Lane 2)....

So, there you have it.
Please dont read too much into these times. The track has just been cleaned (read, Done over with the Vacuum cleaner) & the silicones are not liking the surface too much. I will speak to those in the know to determine the best way to prepare the track, without hindering the Rubber guys as well
I have also done a small switcheruny, where I ran Wet Coasts on Blue, followed by Robert Livingstons car (Class P). Wet Coasts did a 5.6. RL's did a 5.2...
It will be interesting to see how things progress by the end of the race. The target time is 4.636, set by BeeJays Porsche 908, during qualifying for the Down Under Proxy

please check and make sure the front wheels are spinning freely on my 917k. If one of those front wheels are loose, pop it off and put a dab of super glue on it.

Wowee, wowee, a great day, a great race, a great track.
Funny thing is, my East New York wood track is almost the same configuration as Six Pines. No wonder my Ortmann-tired cars are doing well. Now, if only I could blow those silly 911's out of the way in GT class!

When I saw that track photo I thought it looked like Robert's too, I hope it keeps racing that way.
More nice variety in the results.
Some pretty close racing for this GT group, only 10 ten-thousanths (sp?) of a second apart , but at least the order is right !
