Great job, race explanation and I really like the photos! The perspective and shallow depth of field looks like the exhaust clouded, heat shimmering photo of a real race start. (I really like the airbox on that 936 too.) The GTs reminds me of IMSA at Daytona in the mid-70s when there wasn't much in the way of prototypes.

    Thanks,

    JT

"Mount Lofty" ??? Sounds like something out of Monty Python or something.

I will say, though, it looks almost as nice as Hobart!

As a matter of fact, if you managed to make it down the to Utilities section of the article above, you will see an actual glimpse of the garage that the cars are residing in...yes, my home is in the shadow of the Happy Valley Reservoir (the parcel of housing in the bottom left hand corner!!)

What has happened to Phil Kalbfell's P entry? Did I miss something along the way?

On another topic - would it not make more sense to clean the track, run the silicon GT cars, then the silicon P cars, then go to the non-silicon cars, GT and P?

That way, there's only one cleaning.

                When In Rome... (or Adelaide)

Let the sili shod cars take their lumps. Everyone made a choice - time to live with it. Seems like our Australian hosts know what they are doing so let them get on with it. Race ON!

Dennis - They running the non-silicone first then the silicone...just one cleaning and better for the rubber cars.

I misread the post about the race schedule - my apologies for the injection of static.

Now can someone enlighten me as to the whereabouts of Phil's P car?

Maybe he pulled it from the race when he had the cars in his posession?

That was the car that lost its driver's head. That is not good. Phil sent the car in its own little cardboard box, with a vac-formed plinth that had hollows to hold the wheels and guide; that special box left East New York a year ago, with the heavy car inside, and all the other cars clustered around it. I guess that special box was deleted. Sorry the car didn't make it through.

                            Phils ferrari

Dennis: My Ferrari got home sick!

We have a Can Am series starting here so I decided to keep the 612 here and run it is the series,it is now retyred and working very well on our tracks.
I was just too lazy to build a new car or rebuild one of the old ones.

I have also made arrangemnets for the Adelaide guys to return my BMW after their rounds as that will be needed here for a gt series soon and this series looks like not finishing until late in the year.

Adelaide is not as good as Hobart but it is not far behind!
