What is the track voltage? Maybe tall gearing (9:26?) and low voltage disagrees with it - or something is going wrong with the rear end...
We'll check the braids or anythings else (axle binding?) to make sure the car is getting good contact all the way around the track. You should be OK with that motor and gear combination at 10 volts so maybe something else is wrong.

      17. Nick49 4.94 / 0 / Slower motor but easy drive.
      18. Abie321 5.03 / 0 / Smooth but tires break away in turns.
      19. TNoe 5.34 / 0 / Loses grip easily in corners. 917k Porsche
      Hello humiliation and frustration!

go ahead and put a Slot.it mag in the pod and don't tell no one! LOL!

      GT class

1 Smokeio 5.35 0 Handled better than JT tonight.
2 JT Previa 5.45 0 Fast & loose. Good motor.
3 Spirit Racer 5.47 3 Fast but had trouble in the S before the corkscrew.
      4 R Livingston 5.51 0 Very consistent.
      5 WPSoko1 5.53 0 Struggled for grip tonight.
6 Spirit Racer Club 5.57 0 Fast but inconsistent. Loose at times.
7 Gascarnut 5.57 0 Fast lap was #10. Must have been a voltage surge..
      8 Tony K. 5.61 0 Fast with good brakes.
      9 DaVols 5.68 0 Predictable handling.
10 D Kennedy 5.69 0 Consistent. Liked the bumpy plastic.
      11 T Noe 5.69 0 Not a bad handler.
This isn't too bad. Nice run for a "Noe" nothing special. Run it out the back door. This car was built to take a beatin'!

Get out the rubber bands. Banzai!

The spur gear has two steel pins attaching it to the wheel. The guide mount is reinforced with a steel band. I am more worried about the motor overheating and dying, but that can be replaced.

I wish I could! But no, it is not to be.

Remember, if the first rubber band melts, use the second rubber band.

                      These Shoreline guys are SLOOWWW...........
Takes them forever to do anything, even to make a lap around the track...

                      • Mike,

Your comments about my Corvette's body rock reminded me that I took some pictures of this. The hope was that weight shift would absorb vibration and transfer pressure to outboard rear tires. I think the relatively heavy Milliput putty on the fender flares puts the moving weight in the right place:

What kind of rims are on the rear of the car?
Mike, I think they are the BWA TSRF wheels (THP3206?) with TSRF Ortmans, but it's been almost a year since I built the car and I can't remember exactly! I think Terry N is using this combo on his CPR Vette.

                        • You rascal, I can't believe you managed that much body deflection without tires that bind.

It actually reminds me of B52RN's Jagermonster Shootout car, or Smokeio's Audi, in terms of how much it can tip on various axis.

If you had a Prototype car in this race, I would actually be concerned around now.

                          • What's the time requireiment for a GPR race???? How many minutes for each car?

                            Comment

                            • Shoot for 12 minutes per car, if you can. 3 to 4 minute heats in each lane. Or thereabouts.

                              • Just five minutes for Eric, Tony, & Van's cars, use them for track cleaning basically.
