GPR - Area 51 Round

The GPR may have a larger time spread than some proxy races, because in this race, it is easier to enter a slower car. Given the variety in body styles and sizes one can choose, some cars are much taller and narrower than others. The amount of changes and rebuilding undertaken by entrants has sometimes exceeded their skill level. Some entrants have never entered a race like this before. When I tech'ed the cars last winter, at the beginning, the disparity in performance was obviously greater than in the RAA (for example), where one was compelled by the rules to enter a long, low, flat, wide car, and one could be competitive with cars closer to box-stock.

What a freaking race and reporting. Bravo ewe guys.
Everybody needs a 24 ft. straight!

Is this normal over a long proxy series, cars as far apart as 2.1 seconds per lap?
And of course none of this tells us how easy they are to drive smoothly and quickly over successive laps, or whether their motors and tires improve with continuous running.
But it is nice to look in the mirrors, again, and see Dr Vanski & Tony behind me, again.

Now it's time to kick some butt. Steve it only shows how good you are at driving.
I all ready have the upgrade parts ready for this car for the 2008 race. It's going to run a lot better on the non-magnet tracks next year.
