Here comes another shipment of returning cars and prizes, in plain brown boxes, to Canada:

• Brad Goodbody/Triggerhappy TSRF missile Porsche 908
• Eric Tirion/Recklessracer Porsche 908 and Taxicab-styled Capri
• Van LaPointe/DrV Porsche 936 with Elemental power and Porsche 911 not so much
• Milo de Villiers/Bluetoes 908 with several hundredweight of Paasche airbrush
• Greg Hecky/Atticracer Porsche 911 and a thousand pounds of Carrera plastic.

I found that you can fit a GPR race car inside a Carrera clear case, along with the brand new Carrera car it was intended to carry. I think Carrera boxes were designed by German Panzerkampfwagen designers.

If the humungo Carrera boxes are causing you problems you're more than welcome to send mine without the case.

Received my car back today (and a really cool resin Chaparral)! Thanks Robert.

I noticed that the front body post was completely adrift of the body, my epoxy had not held. I assume this happened after the last race.

My box arrived safely yesterday - thanks to Robert for all the hard work!

It was good to get those two cars back, I had almost forgotten what they looked like! Amazingly little damage, just some race patina and a few dents and scratches, almost nothing missing (just the roll bar support from my Cobra).

Of course I had to run them both straight away, and they still run great. It is a compliment to the respect that the Proxy drivers gave to our cars that they are still in such good condition after such a long period and so much travelling.

No problem, Wayne, I was just driving over to Bath, UK, to hand over Beejay's cars, and your house was on the way. Then I thought I'd stop by Lucio's in Trieste, Italy, to ask why my Ferrari finished last on the Ninco track.

My (very) battle scarred 911 arrived at my front door with a Pontiac GTO and Chapparel 2E that both need a home. Pretty amazing prizes for a 7th place concourse and 15th place GT finish. I'm bummed I didn't get my CPR car completed in time for that series but pumped about the RAA. This proxy racing thing gets under your skin pretty quick.

Thanks again to Dr Vanski, Dave Kennedy, and Robert Livingston for getting the GPR off the ground and all the folks who pitched in and kept it toddling along to completion. Its been a heck of a ride and the old Porsche looks every bit the part of car thats been around the world.

I will definetly be back for more...
