Well, my Lola is at last done and ready to be mailed to Robert tomorrow:
I should have approached Iceman for decals, but ran out of time, so all the scripting was done by hand. Trust me, it looks worse in the flesh!
But the car runs well, so I'm hopeful.

Thanks Pete!
Both bodies are from Resilient Resins.
The extra details are all scratchbuilt, like the sidepipes on the Cobra and the carbs on the Lola. Resilient's bodies don't always have the best detail, but with a bit of work they "clean up real well". I just wish I had left more time to finish the Lola the way I wanted it - it's nowhere near what I would normally be happy with, but I ran out of time.

Then there were 21 - Brazilian GPR-P Last Minute Entry Revealed
Brazilian track constructer and racing promoter Cobra Racing Technologies is pleased to announce its entry of the CRT Ferrari 312PB in the 2007 GPR-P class. In a cooperative international effort to thwart the ongoing crackdown of overzealous Uruguayan customs officials on vintage sports car trafficing, noted garagiste and Connecticut railroad tycoon Robert Livingston in conjunction with DrVanski Racing have helped Brazilian team CRT in acquiring and preparing their entry for the GPR.
This Slot.it based entry will carry Brazil's team colours, if not to the winner's circle, then at least to the post-race hospitality area. The mechanics, deal-makers, grid girls, and bartenders of DrVanski racing salute the efforts of our Brazilian friends and welcome them to the GPR.

Beauty of a car though - go, Brazil, go!

Motor backwards? That thing got a Hemi?
In the world of international finance and railroad tycoonery, things often move faster than reason can keep pace. Swayed by Brazilian passion, Samba beat, and the sense that all things are timeless, this Ferrari project existed only as a project proposal a few short hours ago. That demoralization might smite Joe GPR Slotster is only apparent in hindsight, and the cold clear light of morning. And it ain't morning yet. Party on.
This Slot.It car may not have been available to anyone in time for the actual GPR deadline. It could be that prizes will not be awarded to this car, should it demonstrate unusual speed in comparison to its entered-in-a-timely-fashion competitors. It weighs 60 grams, has S2 tires, an anglewinder V12/3 Orange Endbell motor, and a Slot.It magnet. I never saw the car. It has not passed Tech Inspection. It may miss the first race heat at East New York. But it will run.

Rocket from Mars. Or maybe China. Brazil? Toronto? Whatever ...

All I can say is, on the wood tracks you better have some crash barriers, Or catcher's mitts. Or like that.
But great if, as my reckoning goes, this now means that every GPR Track Host around the World now has at least one entry in this great race - and it just wouldn't be the same without that BigDog fella now would it?
