  • Slot.it Shootout Final Race.

With the current situation here ( We are closed to the Public to help fight this virus ) I will finally be able to run the last round of the Shootout.
I spent the weekend checking the cars as they have been in hibernation since the Summer of 2019 ( So sorry for that )

Right now i have builders in as we are leaking water everywhere. Thankfully no where near the tracks, see some good news.

I will be getting the track ready to run the Final Round after the weekends shipping. I urgently need that revenue or I have bigger issues.

The track will be prepared by running several of my cars to get all 4 Lanes up to speed grip wise. Then each car will be run for a few laps to make sure they are good to race.

I have to run this solo but will see if I can get a Facebook Feed up to show the round.

Then will start the task of getting cars and Event cars back home.

More soon, providing the roof stays up. Just when I thought things were looking up I did not expect to see water!!

Good luck with the roof there, Alan!

It must be frustrating, having a new drip in the building.

Thanks Alan. Glad you're not billing it as a submarine race! I look forward to updates.

Looking like I can start this this weekend. Will update later today.
Roof issues still ongoing but not raining today and not near the tracks so should be OK.

Thanks Alan. I know you'll be glad to get this off your plate.
What a strange time we're in...I'm really missing sports, especially baseball...I've been looking out my window watching birds fight over worms...it's Cardinals 3 Blue Jays 2.

OK now to get the cars and Event cars home safely and to the correct people.

As SCI is now working better maybe Racers could confirm all the info.

I will try to extract what I can from emails and www.132slotcar.us but the Site is being rebuilt right now so a little messy searching old orders/entries.

I need to make sure I have the correct mailing address phone and car description so I send the right cars to the right homes.

You can send to scaleracing1@gmail.com with all your info. Please include the Event car you would like.
If there is anything else from the Store I can help you with that would be great as well.

Please put your Car # in the Title of the email so I can easily search them out.

I wish you all a Safe and Happy Easter.

                      Cheers

                      Alan

OK while we update the www.132slotcar.us Retail Store Site I will get the results up for the Slot.it Shootout. I ran the last race on Sunday solo, there is video here showing that race. Almost all the cars ran well. The biggest struggle was for cars with the front tires running firmly on the track surface. This caused deslotting on Lane 1 in the 2nd turn. Some just bounced slightly but others would randomly deslot. The only way around this was to brake before the turn which I did as soon as I saw the car deslot there. Also in Lane 4 the same cars had very poor brakes and with 2 very tight turns this made running in that lane more difficult for the cars set up this way....
