I just saw a topic on the Techno Slot 1/43 chassis. It looks like it might make a decent SPRITE Proxy Race Chassis.

A warning it is in Catalon but Google Chrome will translate it to English...

Diff - Thanks for starting this resource thread. That Techno has some clever features. That small engine is unknown, but I'm inclined to allow that style based on its super small size.

Other chassis we've seen will work:

PCS Chassis (Fusilier and VTECFOUR are using one of these)

SCX NASCAR (with modification to reduce guide protrusion. My gold top Sprite used this)

    Ranch Design

    Reprotec Abarth

          Mini?

The classic Mini and the Sprite both have an 80 inch wheelbase. Has anyone out there tried to mount a Sprite body on a Mini chassis?

Retro, I have both. Scalextric moulded parts of the body to the chassis. A Dremel and cut off disk solves the problem.

Another problem is that they put a magnet pocket right where the motor should be.

Still a quick way to get a chassis under a Sprite body.

            Some photos...

Slim motor selection info from Art at Dart Hobbies:

              Gents,

For anyone needing a slim slo motor the long awaited original BWA "BWMS050" motor is now in stock. I'm processing prior requests in order received but to order just email me at [email protected] or PM.

                Guys,
don't overlook Penelope Pitlane parts. They do a Mk2 onwards Sprite/Midget resin body with or without hardtop and they also do superb wheels in scale 13" with various inserts including p/e wires and they do nice tyres for them. They also do adjustable chassis in lovely nickel silver to take a variety of motors.
Many race meetings have been won by their chassis.

                Just a suggestion.

                Martin

Martin - thanks for the Mk 2 body info! Do you have a link to the supplier of the SMK Speedwell Sprite (that you made the masterful master for, btw)?

                  Thanks, JT

                    JT,
Dave Capelen is working on a website currently for his "new" venture. Actually SMK is hardly new, but Dave has suffered poor health for over a year which he is now over and he's raring to go again.
Meantime, if you want to get any Speedwells just mail him on [email protected] and I'll mail him to warn him of the forthcoming deluge

Enjoy the Sebring Sprite site, too.

                    Cheers,
                    Martin

If there is an interest in other small Sports cars he also does a Clan Crusader and Triumph TR7 V8, both Manx rally cars.
                      Cheers,
                      Martin
