Well the closest military base is just outside Memphis, which is a Naval base. Kinda funny as the nearest body of water is the Mississippi river.

It is next in line...I have all the scenery bits so i hope to start it soon now that my running of SLOP is over. It is a lot of fun to run on...at least those that have think so.

Thanks, DM...the drop in sections have been revised a little recently.

While the pressure connection I had on my new track works just fine, I kept thinking about the potential of it someday failing due to the tape being pushed back, torn, etc.

So, I ordered some servo connectors from HobbyLinc and got to work.

In order to keep the plugging simple, I glued the three female plugs on the track together to make one plug, and then did the same with the male connectors on the drop in sections. The spacing between the male connectors after they were plugged in was right at 1/16" so I glued some small pieces of sheet styrene between the plugs.

The leads were soldered to the tape and then I used duct tape to secure the wire to prevent them from being pulled on when swapping drop in sections.

For the road course drop in, some fancy tape work was done on the backside to keep from having to put plugs at both ends.

The connection is now solid and I never have to worry about the tape causing issues.
